BROOKLYN, New York.- Through a five-year Strategic Plan (2018-2023), Batey Relief Alliance (BRA)® launched in 2018 a comprehensive Women’s Empowerment Initiative aims to organize 5,000 women and provide them with the tools needed to escape poverty, become self-sufficient and develop their community. Women and girls in Dominican Republic, Haiti and Peru will be equipped with skills training, education, micro loans and other support (nutrition, clean water, multivitamins, health care, disaster relief, etc.) needed to empower themselves. The goal is to also involve males and entire communities in the process. Collaborators include UNFCU Foundation, USAID, Direct Relief, Clinton Global Initiative, Procter and Gamble, CROSS Catholic Network, Vitamin Angels, etc. For ongoing updates, please follow us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
