SANTO DOMINGO.- In response to a Batey Relief Alliance 2021 study that revealed that 20% of girls in rural Domnican Republic missed 2-3 school days each month during menstruation due to the lack of access to sanitary pads, Always brand responded by joining forces with Batey Relief Alliance (BRA) Dominicana and supermarket chain La Sirena to help reverse the situation. Through a campaign launched on April 6, 2022, named #ChicaAyudaChica, Always aims to secure an estimate 20,000 toallas from local purchases to donate to BRA to distribute to communities affected by menstrual poverty–helping young girls to stay in school. The campaign will last one month from May 1-June 30, 2022.
