Celebrating 17+ Years of Empowering 9,000+ Women: From Relief to Resilience across the Americas and the Caribbean

24 March, 2026

At Batey Relief Alliance (Global Alivio), we believe that economic stability is the cornerstone of dignity. We are proud to share the impact of the BRA Women’s Empowerment Initiative carried out through the BRA Agricultural Cooperative “BRATeyanna”.

Over the last 17+ years, our program has transitioned from a localized agricultural project to a region-wide model for financial inclusion—advancing United Nations 2030 Agenda SDGs 1, 2, 5, 8, 17.

As we look at our trajectory from 2009 through our 2026 projections, the numbers tell a powerful story of growth, partnership, and lives transformed.

THE NUMBERS:

  • $2.5M+ total budget
  • 1 Agricultural Cooperative “BRATeyana” created
  • $408,200 in micro-loans distributed
  • 9,046 rural women entrepreneurs benefitted
  • 36,490 community members impacted
  • 25 safe, dignified housing built for families
  • 2 countries: Dominican Republic and Haiti

Thank you to our partners Clinton Global Initiative, USDA, USAID, UNFCU Foundation, and Cross Catholic Outreach for believing in the power of women to transform their communities.

LOOKING AHEAD:

As we move toward 2026, our focus remains clear: deepening our impact, expanding financial access, and ensuring that every woman we serve has the tools to lead.
