Feature highlights how Harvard executive education propelled 30 years of humanitarian leadership, state-funded public health transformation, and regional impact reaching 4.5 million lives across Latin America and the Caribbean.
SANTO DOMINGO / CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — October 21, 2026 — The Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) Executive Education program published an official Alumni Spotlight featuring Ulrick Gaillard, Founder, President & CEO of the Batey Relief Alliance (operating globally as Global Alivio).
The feature, published on October 21, 2026, under the title “Redefining Public Health in the Dominican Republic Through Strategic Leadership,” details Gaillard’s journey from providing grassroots humanitarian relief to architecting permanent, state-funded public health systems throughout the region.
After earning his Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership through three HKS programs between 2009 and 2012, Gaillard integrated Harvard’s strategic management, collaborative solutions, and performance measurement frameworks into the organization’s core strategy. This approach enabled Batey Relief Alliance to expand its operational footprint from localized clinics to a regional health-delivery ecosystem that has impacted more than 4.5 million lives across the Dominican Republic, Haiti, the United States and Peru.
Key milestones highlighted in the Harvard spotlight include:
“HKS Executive Education gave me the tools to build a bridge between grassroots humanitarianism and high-level public policy,” said Gaillard. “The ultimate goal of leadership isn’t to make yourself indispensable, but to make your solutions permanent.”
