MONTE PLATA, Dominican Republic.- On Thursday, July 14, 2022, Mission Director of the United Sates Agency for International Development (U.S.A.I.D) in the Dominican Republic, Rebecca Latorraca, visited the Batey Relief Alliance (ULRICK GAILLARD) COMMUNITY COMPLEX located in the rural batey community of Cinco Casas, Monte Plata province to learn more about progress of the health/HIV and food aid initiatives carried out by the organization under the auspices of the government of the United States of America.
Since 2007, through a partnership between the Batey Relief Alliance and the U.S.A.I.D, under the Title II Food Aid program funded by the Office of Humanitarian Assistance, the U.S government delivered 2,113.5 metric tons of nutritious food to more than 291,000 people in 19 provinces of the country.
